About Me
In the digital world, domain names are paramount. They are the road signs of the Internet, directing us to our favourite online destinations and social addictions. Domains, in this digital age, are a very important part of everything we do, which is why we – as Domainers – treat them like real estate, identify the best ones and trade them as currency.
Hello World Domains is a destination for anyone interested in domaining, Internet technology and web developing. Here you can find domain industry and tech news (including my ranting opinions), as well as tips to help you grow your online business.
Hello What?
Hello World is a tradition that dates back to the 70’s. Since then, its been custom for computer programmers to use the phrase when working with a new programming language, teaching basic code or developing on new hardware.
Now, with the invention of the Weblog, the phrase “Hello World” has been introduced to an even wider audience – everyone.
About Me
First of all, thank you for stopping by. You didn’t have to, but you did and that is appreciated. I hope I can give you a reason to keep coming back – forever.
Ok, so here is my deal: I’m a very proud Canadian & young professional living in Toronto, Ontario. I have the attention span of a Milk commercial but the ambitions of a Kennedy.
When I do manage to focus, I try to spend my time reading, writing, developing brands and suffering through insomnia.
Domaining by Accident
I became interested in domaining by accident. A few years ago, I volunteered to help create the overall look and feel of a website for a family business. At the time I knew the very minimum of HTML and absolutely nothing about domain names & how they work. This required me to work along side a real web designer.
My first job was to choose a keyword friendly domain name. My second was to write a bunch of content using SEO. No problem! Except I didn’t know what the hell a keyword was and I couldn’t pronounce the word SEO properly.
Believe it or not, the project ended up a success and while working on it I learnt a lot. Like, how to choose a domain name, what SEO is (it’s not pronounced see-oh, btw) and how to register a domain name.
A lot has happened since those first ‘WTF questions’ and thanks to a lot of reading, many mistakes and way too much practice registering domain names, I can officially call myself a Domainer!
Buy or Sell Domain Names
If you’re ready to buy quality domain names or you want to sell, please check out my growing domain portfolio. I believe in moving domains, rather than sitting on them, so please make an offer, because I always accept fair offers.
